A web app is an app that is accessed through an internet browser on any smartphone. The advantage of web apps is that they are cross platform and therefore will run on any smartphone with a browser. The disadvantage is that many smartphones have different screen sizes and different technical capabilities, so a web app which wants to use these functions would need to be individually tweaked for each smartphone required. However web apps work well if the functionality is restricted. Simply get in touch if you want a web app.

Do I need to work with a professional app company?

You have 2 options for contracting your app development project. You can work with a freelance programmer or with a professional app development firm like Near Pixel. You should do the research to determine which is best for your situation, however we recommend you work with a company like Near Pixel. Why? We have a team of qualified programmers who have spent thousands of hours developing successful apps. You won’t find the experience and depth of knowledge required if you work with a freelancer.

How long does it take?

The length of time to develop an app depends on the complexity involved in programming as well as the number of people we can allocate to your project. We can work within tight deadlines and quick turnarounds so get in touch to see how we can help.

An App based on a template can take less than 8 weeks to complete. 

Do you help with Apple iTunes Store approval?

Yes. We work directly with Apple’s iTunes team to get approval for your app, as well as launch the app in the store.

We offer a similar service for submission to the Google Play store for Android apps.

Can I charge customers
for my app?

Yes. It is entirely up to your whether to charge for your App or to make it free. If you go down the paid route, we can advise you on how best to price your app to maximise the app revenue.

Can I add new building projects or brochures after the app is built?

Typically we design the Apps such that as much as possible the content can be changed even after it is released on the App Store. This is done by you without the need to involve us or any programmers.

Naturally not everything can be changed. For example the app functionalities and interface can only be changed by resubmitting to the App store.

Is there a Content Management System (CMS) for the App?

Yes. If you do not have a suitable CMS for your website that your App can use, we have a dedicated CMS that allows you to keep your App fresh and up-to-date. You can do this directly and without the need to involve us or any programmers.

Since the CMS is hosted online, there is a monthly hosting fee for this service.

Who owns the app copyright?

Unless stated in otherwise, all bespoke apps are owned by the client once payment is received and work is delivered.

For apps built on our template design, you own the copyright of the content. We own copyright of the code and template.

What support do I get after the app is complete?

We provide unlimited technical support for your app for the next 12 months. No matter what, you can call us and we’ll solve any problem or question you may have. Not that people have many problems with our apps – but our programmers does like to talk to normal people once in a while.
