Had no idea that Google just released the Nexus Q - an Apple TV like device. But they've done away with remotes and use an app downloaded to your Android to control what streams to your TV. Probably the right way forward, but obviously limits who would buy it. Though if the Q becomes a success, I doubt Google will have trouble making an App for iPhones/iPad (even if Apple will try to make life difficult for them). Check out the video on the right for a quick review. It's the first striking hardware I've seen from Google, which shows just how much Apple's design influence has affected even pure software firms like Google.
